FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to the most common questions we’re asked about our bike tours. Of course, you can also contact us anytime if you don’t find an answer or if you’d rather talk, chat, or email with a real person.

What are your Covid-19 safety precautions?

See our Coronavirus response page for details on all of our safety policies and procedures.

Do you have availability? How much does it cost?

We offer pre-designed private tours most days — just check our calendar which also lists tour costs. For private tours check out our transparent pricing guide on the page or use the “book now” button to play with the pricing. Note: Custom tours can incur additional fees. Contact us if you have any questions.

Where do we meet for the tours?

All tours meet, begin, and end at our cool workshop in the centrally-located SoMa neighborhood. Here is a map.

What are the age requirements? Height requirements?

• Our private electric bike tours are for ages 13+. Guests must be 4’11 (150cm) or taller.
• Our private classic bike tours are for ages 7+. Riders must be at least 4’6” (137cm) tall.

What tours can/should I do with my family?

See the age requirements above to get an idea of the type of tours available to you. Our private bike tours often make for a great value and extra-special experience that can be tailored to your needs. For families with younger children, we generally recommend a short experience of 3-4 hours. If you have any questions, just send us a message.

Do you have tandems, trailers, or child seats?

At this time, we do not have tandems/trailers/tag-alongs/child seats. We can accomodate younger children (as young as 7) on our private tours. We’re also happy to recommend alternatives since we know all the best small tour operators in SF.

Are helmets required on your bike tours?

Yes, we require helmets on all of our guided tours for safety and insurance reasons. On self-guided tours, we strongly recommend helmets for safety. We specifically supply top quality helmets that are comfy and cool to wear for the duration of our tours.

Are food and drinks Included?

They’re not included in the tour price but can be added at checkout for a reasonable additional fee.

We recommend this for the most seamless and curated experience. Note: Alcoholic beverages [select tours] cannot be added ahead of time and must be purchased by guests upon arrival at our destination.

What if my group has dietary restrictions?

We get it, we have some dietary restrictions too! We can accommodate any dietary needs: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. Trust us, San Francisco is full of great options. Just let us know of any dietary needs in the comments during checkout.

Why not choose a cheaper tour?

We started our company specifically because we noticed that the types of experiences we wanted to share didn’t exist, locally or when we traveled.

Unlike other tours, our no-limits adventures combine the variety of a neighborhood bike tour, the insight and detail of the best walking tours, the deliciousness of a food tour, and the views and nature of an urban hiking tour all in one awesome, expansive experience. That makes them a rare value in this city. If you’ve ever taken a bike tour, we guarantee our tours will be one of the best you’ve ever taken or your money back.

Our active adventures are designed by longtime locals to thrill locals and visitors looking for something exciting, authentic, and truly unique. We’re devoted to delivering the coolest and highest quality experiences around, which are guaranteed to create lasting memories and exceed your expectations.

What if I don’t know my exact group size? Or everyone’s heights and names? Can I still book?

That’s totally okay! You can still book to reserve your date/time with an estimate and adjust later. Just let us know your total numbers and other details as soon as you get them so we have time to prepare. Note that we cannot refund group size changes with less than 24-hour notice. Also if it’s a public tour, it’s possible that it will fill up, so try to get us those numbers as soon as you can 🙂
